On behalf of the Global Index on Responsible AI, a project led by the Global Center on AI Governance and supported by the International Development Research Centre of Canada, with USAID, we would like to apologise for a mapping error in the report of the 2024 Global Index on Responsible AI, published on the 13th June 2024.

The map that accompanied the Bright Spot for activities undertaken by Palestine, reflected on page 37 of the Global Index on Responsible AI report, was inaccurate. We understand the political sensitivity of this issue and sincerely apologize for any offense this may have caused.

This error was purely technical in nature and in no way reflects any political stance or intention on the part of the Global Index on Responsible AI project. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and neutrality in our reports. Immediate steps have been taken to correct this mistake, and to ensure that no errors of this nature occur again in future. The revised version of the report will be re-published on our website.

We value the trust our community places in us and are dedicated to ensuring such errors do not occur in the future.
