Mark Gaffley is the Director of Business Operations at GCG.


Mark brings over 12 years’ of experience cutting across legal, start-ups and research. Mark’s expertise in commercial law, e-commerce, technology and artificial intelligence has also served a number of leading organisations such as Uber, Takealot, Media24, Human Sciences Research Council, and the African Observatory on Responsible AI. Mark holds degrees in arts and law from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and is pursuing a PhD in jurisprudence at UCT. His doctoral research centres on the ethical and philosophical implications of artificial intelligence, particularly its long-term impact on human autonomy and decision-making.
